Online: Transgender Health in 2022 and the Incidence of Erythrocytosis in Transgender and Gender-Non-Conforming Adolescents on Testosterone

We continue our discussion about health equity and inclusion at Nemours Children’s Hospital, Delaware. This Pediatric Grand Rounds session describes the process for undergoing a medical gender transition in our transgender and gender non-conforming youth, along with benefits and risks for starting gender affirming hormone therapy. Additional discussion includes research conducted on transgender health and the effects of supplemental testosterone on adolescent hemoglobin and hematocrit.

Upon completion of this activity participants will be able to:
