Dr. Collier obtained his undergraduate and medical degrees from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN.  He then completed his Pediatric residency and Pediatric Hematology-Oncology fellowship at University of Texas Southwestern in Dallas, TX where he did research on the RASSFIA pathway in Wilm tumors.  Following fellowship, he returned to Vanderbilt Children's Hospital as an assistant professor where he helped to organize the multidisciplinary Sarcoma program.  He then was recruited to Lehigh Valley Hospital and Health Network in Allentown, PA where he became a member of the Children's Oncology Group (COG) bone tumor committee working on relapsed Ewing sarcoma.  He continued that work when he moved to the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, MS as an associate professor.  He was promoted to professor, division chief of Pediatric Hematology-Oncology, and held the D. Jeanette Pullen Chair of Pediatric Hematology-Oncology.  After 10 years, he was recruited to Nemours Children's Health in Jacksonville, FL as division chief of Pediatric Hematology-Oncology. 

Dr. Collier remains an active member of the COG bone tumor committee most recently helping to lead an international study for relapsed Ewing sarcoma.  He is the institutional principal investigator for the Sunshine Project.  He continues his work in Ewing sarcoma as well as mentoring division faculty in the pursuit of additional research projects.  He is a member of the Children's Oncology Group, American Society of Clinical Oncology, American Society of Pediatric Hematology Oncology, and the Connective Tissue Oncology Society.  He has presented at national and international conferences and is the author of over 30 peer-reviewed manuscripts and abstracts.  He serves on the board of directors of the Child cancer Fund in Jacksonville.  He is a husband to Rachel and father to Harrison.
